Magnificent Pursuit - A Study on Sanctification
Series11 Disc Set
The moment an individual places his or her trust in Jesus Christ for the salvation of their soul, the Bible calls that moment the new birth or justification. From that moment forward, the Christian engages his lifelong journey of growth and maturity called sanctification. Sanctification is pictured in Scripture as a magnificent pursuit towards Godliness and Christ-likeness…being set apart for God’s purposes. In this series, Tom takes a journey through Old and New Testament alike in a quest to present a comprehensive study on sanctification. He does a complete exegesis of Malachi to lay the foundation for living our lives set apart for God’s purposes. He also covers passages from Philippians 3, Romans 8, James 1 & 4, II Peter 1, I Corinthians 8 & 9 and II Corinthians 6. He is careful to observe and explain the process of sanctification. However, the series not only establishes what we should do, but also what not to do. Tom will give principles to apply and snares to avoid. We all struggle in living out our faith; none of us still on earth have been completely sanctified. Yet all of us strive, day-by-day and moment-by-moment, to glorify God in all that we do. This study is sure to encourage and instruct us in this journey of pursuing Christ, a magnificent pursuit!
