Lost Art of Disciple Making
Series4 Disc Set
Matthew records in His Gospel that some of the last words Jesus would utter before He ascended into Heaven were, “Go make disciples of all the nations.” It quickly becomes clear by any careful study of Jesus’ life that one of the main focuses of His ministry was to make disciples. Jesus certainly came to seek and save the lost, but He also came preaching, teaching and training people what it meant to be a follower of God. It is tragic then that much of the church has lost its way in regard to this clear call to be disciples and disciple-makers. In this series, Tom clarifies and illumines what it means to be a disciple of Christ. He reminds us that the call to be a disciple and to make disciples has not been reserved only for professional ministers, but it has been extended to all who have come to know Jesus Christ by saving faith and have experienced His grace. Tom also reminds us that any church that hopes to make a claim to being a New Testament church must make it their consuming passion and driving focus to equip people to be disciples and to take up the mantle of being disciple-makers for the glory of God and His church.
